  • off hauxley in the yak

me & keith desided on a trip out at hauxley on sat morn in the yak.
the fish took some finding at first with loads of fishing boats out on the water & not getting much themselves. i started with a wrasse of around 2 1/2lb then i hit a few cod in the same spot & that was the start, fish after fish all the boats were coming over 2 see what we were getting lol. keith then had a wrasse. we ended up with 17 cod but just kept 11. a fun but redhot day in our drysuits.

Hi mate, nice report and thats a cracking haul from the yak! I used to use a net to keep fish in over the back of the yak, but found it very dificult to paddle once there were a couple in, that haul would have anchored me to the spot, lol.
