have you tried manual pumping excess fuel through with the primer bulb to free it?

crack the brass drain nut on the bottom of the suspect carb and pump the bulb while tapping the carb body (rubber mallet or something) then nip the drain nut up and see if it's any better

also be worth checking all the rubber fuel lines and clips to make sure there's no leaks/cracks

update re sludge in carbs errr !

ok managed to sort the outboard out had to strip the carbs down literaly and clean them with petrol ....
tryed knocking the bowl but with this amount of old dryed up petrol
i wouldnt think that would work .

the crap in the bottom of the carb bowl was holy moly .

took a few snaps to let you see whats what ....
1st this is where the petrol was leaking out of i take it its the carb overflow ..

now for the strip down ....

getting the thing apart was tricky ....

the carb bowl was realy bad no service by the looks ill have to get busy
and sort it out ready for some fishing ...

thanks a lot for the replys all good now, jay.
