Not sure what's the average price per ltr but recently spotted it on ebay at £28.50 + postage for 4 ltrs of marine Quicksilver.
I have a pal who buy's Evinrude two stroke oil at £48 per 3.75 ltr bottle so looks comparatively "reasonable".
I just wonder why this stuff is so expensive given the advancement in lube technology and I bet there's a significant profit margin on this type of product.
Given the price per ltr for petrol you can do without the inflated cost of two stroke oil.

powerhouse marine does marine 2 stroke oil, take your own container and they'll fill it, it's propa gear not cheap rubbish you get from supermarkets for a couple of quid (it's about £5 per litre if you take your own container).

I read somewhere the main difference between normal 2 stroke and marine grade is salt repellent properties, duno personally how much truth there is to it, but personally I'll stick to using propa marine grade.
