Hi,
Thought it might be an idea to say hello to you all before I get to the questions...lol
I mainly been a bit of a fluffchucker for the past 20 years and only occasionally dipped my toe into sea angling apart from when I was a wee lad. Needless to say and probably like the rest of you I was/am mad keen on fishing and disappeared onto a river or loch at every opportunity.
Real life steps in and gives me a couple of kids and I havn't really ventured out for 12 years well maybe a couple of times out of the Tyne with the father in law.
10 years ago I moved from Scotland to South Shields/Sunderland [Seaburn] and the time is ripe for me to resume my passion.
So....
As I'm a little ignorant as to what I'm gonna need to get kitted up for some boat angling, I was kind of hoping some of you nice gents would point me in the general direction and maybe suggest a local boat charter thats takes individuals out and a ballpark cost for a day out.
I work offshore 3 weeks on/off so plenty time to wet a line when Im home.
Better stop there for now.
Appreciate any help offered and apologies for all the questions.
Cheers for now

Edit: Forgot to say, cracking forum! Loads of useful advice cant believe I've never seen it before.

What sort of tackle/rigs am I going to need, i seem to remember using "daylights" the last time and how many would I need to start off with for wreck fishing for example.
Weights/sinkers
Braid or mono or both [breaking strain]
Where can I get Lug/Ragworm/Squid from?
Better stop there for now.
