  • Frustration Grows ..........

Ah well, after the frustration of the lock closure theres nothing left for it but to spend a day on my other "alternative" hobby.
Unfortunately I have two mainstream pastimes that occupy the same requirement .... little wind and fine days, my "other" as it were is Radio controlled model aircraft flying.
I do like to compete and often travel the country to induldge in IC (as in Internal Combustion and not electric, engines) pylon racing events (4 models flying circa 80mph close together around a tight triangular course)

As of late I`ve been a bit lapse on the model front due to other priorities so it seemed a great "not to miss" opportunity as my mate said to spend sunday at the local field at blyth (miles away from the frustrations of the closed lock)
What happens next ............ we turn up at blyth to find the club has deemed a "for one day only" "electric only competition" no IC models allowed ............. Bugge R ..........

so its back to tying rigs then till my nerves settle !!!!!!

What is it they say about it never rains Norman?
We were in Miami in January , I went looking for fish to catch but as expected with me being there Miami was suffering the coldest winter for 30 years and it was killing the non indigenous fish stocks off , which of course were the ones I was after. I went to this park looking for native large mouth bass , huge place with several lakes , mountain bike trails , kite flying areas ,picnic areas ......... all sorts of hobbies catered for , amongst these was radio controlled planes and whilst I fished for bass I was watching a miniature (still must have been 3 foot long) fighter jet complete with a proper jet engine doing laps of the field at an amazing rate of knots ,awesome.
There were other planes flying too ,also great to watch , but this jet was amazing.

Norman, get yourself a radio controled boat that way you would have one to play with
Nothing makes a fish bigger than almost being caught
