  • Looking Forward .... what about ......

Since there's not much else to do this weekend (thanks RQ) ......

been giving a bit of thought to times ahead ....
whats the views on a nesa meet up sometime in the coming months.

Theres a few of us out of RQ and the tyne, even maybe Sunderland aint too far... and a few out of Amble along with several shore launched boats.
We could make a date, weather permitting and have a "fish in" at maybe Newbiggin or cresswell which is kind of central. Would be good to put real faces and voices to the names ....... what do yous think?

I think it's a great idea , out of Amble I reckon I could make St Marys on a decent day without too much of a problem , otherwise i could trailer the boat down to the tyne if it was further south , I'd definitely be up for it though.

Sounds like a plan maybe something similar to the nesa shore trophy don't know if the north versus south thing would work on the boats but always an idea? I would defo be on for it though

You can see how the mind wanders when there's nowt to do but even so, a good idea, count me in.

Great idea, as long as I don't have to get up too early, you're ready to come back in before I'm ready to go out

We should set a date now before diaries get too full, how about some time in June, then we can have a repeat later in the season if successful? The lock gates should have been fixed by then as well.

Great idea Norman, did you have any dates in mind.
Will have to consult the leave schedule but if I,m home
I will give it a go. I am sure some of the other Sunderland
boats will be interested as well.

Norm - that sounds like a great plan. Would be great to put faces to names. Anyone go a suggested date?

How about aiming for the first Sunday in June, the 6th? We could meet over Norman's favourite wrecks.

                    Norman,
Would that be open to hartlepool boats, i know a couple of lads would come up, if the dates suit. i would have to steam up. A change in fishing grounds would be nice.

Just a thought but why not combime the meet in/comp with the Bob White Memorial comp which is in July I think, have to check with Norma at Amble Angling Centre? If I was home I would fish and Micky would fish either way.

                      Graham,

well, this "fish in" seems to be fairly popular so I think we should ... "Do it!"

Kevin mentioned June 6th, how does that sound ........

Nothing special, not a comp as such but I suppose it will turn into one

just a meet of as many as can make it ... theres a few close in wrecks together (about 3-4 mile) at the tyne that would probably be a perfect spot for (as it seems) 10 or so boats to gather (I`d better get the liquid breakfasts stowed )

All of course dependant on weather etc etc

If its difficult to get to we could look at a cresswell meet , a tyne meet and a wear meet if need be, but all in the future .. lets try a basic first.

                        whadyas think?

Paul_h .... wow boats from hartlepool it would be an honour to have yous join us from all that far away .....
