Take no notice of them Rich , she looks fabulous (apart from the prop ) only kidding , I wouldn't know whether to paint a prop or not , but I'd be proud to see my boat looking like that .

It was looking good when you had the lift-in today Rich. For what it's worth, I'm going to paint my prop tomorrow - once I've wire brushed off the remaining grunge. Thanks for the loan of the cable it will make the brushing a lot easier instead of rushing home to recharge the cordless drill.

I figure that the prop was so mucky and rough that cleaning it back to smooth metal then sealing with a purpose made prop paint can only help performance. It must work better than a prop caked in rough crud. Worst that can happen is that all the paint is quickly washed off; the paint only warns about needing care, and priming, with aluminium fittings.
