  • Dell Quay Dory ? -

Dell Quay Dory ? Not exactly sure what/ when a dory becomes a dory, and exactly if a Dell Quay Dory is any better in the sea than other craft.
Anybody care to explain to me hulls and hull shapes and thair good and bad points. Sorry for my ignorance

    cathedral hull, full planing.

good stable boats, hulls slap a bit at anchor and slam a bit if you hammer into a swell too fast

tend to be open boats. look at things like seahogs in all their flavours, they are pretty much the same sort of hull design but with a cuddy on them

    google 'cathedral hull'

will show you most of what you need to know

    Thought for the day:
Some people are like slinkies - not really good for anything but bring a smile to your face when thrown down the stairs

Converting an MFV Fifie trawler type thing.
