    No offence meant lob, I posted "lob" as bit of humour, I apologise if it was taken the wrong way.

    I fully respect your opinion and I wasn't slagging off anyone's methods, I just don't catch anything that comes close to needing 50lb class rod.

      but one reason why i fish so heavy is somtimes i fish in 200 250 ft of water

      if it breezes up , i need a 20 oz jigger to get down quick , say na more

      and all the best to you and all on nesa for the coming season

              Good craic lads, I'm not doubting some lads who travel to those far away deep water wrecks land some great doublers (and need the tackle lop mentioned) but I'll stick with our regular haunts and a doubler from one of those is will remain special.

              I'd love a trip to Norway to pull in those lunkers but I could never class a fish from there as my PB if that makes sense.

                      We got the trailer sorted last weekend and started stripping the non marine parts off the replacement yesterday Norm.

                      Fingers crossed it all works and we're ready before the hot spot hots up

                        Boats just make your year and break your bank thats for sure, hope she ready for the new season, always know when you lot at see as i can hear the crack before i see you on a still day

                        I just purchased a small fridge to run off the spare battery so if we meet on a wreck your welcome to a cold one
