i\'ve just been reading the thread on night time boat fishing i\'ve been fancying trying this for a while fishing the same ground as jeff mentions (hard ground off hendon) but i\'m not quite sure where the law stands on navigation lights my boat is 15 1/2 foot do i just need 1 white light ? or do i need the full set up ?

On my RNLI seacheck all that was required was an all round white light visible for at least 2 miles. The standard all round white for a small craft is a 10 watt 12 volt bulb. I think this applies to boats under 18 foot. Never caught much after dark anyway from my boat of the same length.Bill Raine

thanx for that info braine since i posted this topic i\'ve had a look in storras marine the guy in there told me the same thing for the size of boat i have i only need an all round white light ( they\'re about 25 quid)but it does\'nt cost much more for the port and starboard lights so i might go the whole hogg
