  • Nightime Boat Fishing?

While fishing near the marina this evening I saw spellbinder leaving the marina with what looked like a party of anglers, at around 5.0pm.

I thought surely they\'re not going out in that sea with only an hour or so daylight left?????????
    Cheers, Keith.

Keith my m8 at work used to go out night fishing from the Tyne a few years ago,he said he really enjoyed it,funnily enough we were talking about it at work on Tuesday and he was saying he doesnt know if anyone still does it (charter boats that is).
    Cheers Alan...

I wouldn\'t fancy it in that sea tho Alan, I wasn\'t happy standing on the prom at King Eddies Bay, I wonder if they just anchored in the harbour.

      Cheers, Keith.

            Keith,

In calm seas we did some night fishing on the Hard Ground off Hendon last winter with some good results.

Although safety is always paramount I definitley wouldn\'t dream of going out at night without all the electronics on board, (i.e. GPS, Radar, Depth finder, VHF etc...). We also have spotlights we use as well as the Navlights when we are anchored.

            Jeff.

I was down at King Eddies bay first on friday afternoon, waves were lashing the prom so I moved to the walkway at the marina.

Weather has been crap this year we were out the week before halloween last year and had loads of fish.

                    Cheers, Keith.
