Don't Forget About The Cost Of Living In This Country.Never Heard Of Anyone YET! Saying Its Cheap.Food And More Importantly Drink Will Make The Cost Of A Trip Higher.
Won't be doing any drinking on this trip.......fishing day and night for me!
There's a supermarket we will pass every day and it's not too expensive acording to my mate who's been. Plus we should have no trouble catching out food lol.
I agree Gregg, its not a drinking holiday if i went it would be for the fishing and i ahve told the same as you that the supermarket is ok for things and alot of the food is what you can buy in the uk.

Hadaway an s***e I believe is the expression
Hypothetical situation: You've just caught the fish of a lifetime, you get back to the digs and the adrenalin is still surging through your veins...you telling me not one sup of liquor will pass your lips by way of a celebration?
Also I can't imagine for one moment your travelling companions are going to stay "dry"
Ooh a new vid!

IF i catch that fish mate the only thing on my mind will be......where's the next big one lol Won't be buying any booze at all. Don't know everyone else's plans but 5 days will fly over so i just want to fish.
Don't touch the stuff at home much so won't be there at the crazy prices.

Could be light (ish) 24hrs a day at certain times of the year (summer i think), if the sea stayed sensible you would be able to fit a lot of fishing in, hopefully sea should be sheltered to some extent in the fyords.
I simply could'nt afford to drink a lot, full stop.
Would be happy drinking water and eating cod in exchange for some good fishing.
i think it worked out at around 600-700 quid last time. Best person is to speak to are those at NETS in sunderland they book people all the time - i certainly would be interested for the biggie. I like others would be going for the fishing and not the booze but may have to have a little snifter.

give a man a fish and feed him for a day - teach the man to fish and feed him for life!!!!
Hi fellas, just joined the forum after browsing for a while.
As previously stated give Ian Peacock a ring at N.E.T.S or send him an email peacock@dintur.co.uk, asking for a couple of different packages, really helpfull guy.
4 of us have booked with him for next July, to Buvik, north Norway. This worked out £398 each excluding flights. Price includes accomadation, transfers, and boat hire for the week. Flights cost us £144 each return from Gatwick, direct with 40kg baggage allowance.
U can fly from newcastle, but will mean 2 stops en route, and will cost close to a grand return.
Some slightly better venues such as Loppa, Arnoya, require extra flights etc. and the overall cost jumps up dramatically.
I don't think I would fancy Noway in February , the land of the midnight sun is also the land of the midday moon in the winter I believe , but if there was a trip going during the summer months and there was a space to fill I'd be interested too, I'm not into shore fishing or drinking though
Yes mate got 1 tinny between the 4 of us, bit of a squeeze, but should be ok.
Its set in a sheltered fjord, with the open sea close by, looks like u should be able to find somewhere to fish whatever the weather.
Will be taking own food and a few bottles of spirits, to help relax on a night.
If anyone is thinking of going over there, dont wait to long to book flights, as the prices start going up, nearer to the date.
Not from Seaham BTW.
Its OK saying that the cost of the flights is £144 flying from Gatwick. But how much extra is it costing to get there (Gatwick) and back and if the flight times are not of the best, and if your flying from Newcastle - Gatwick your aircraft carrier may not have the same baggage allowance and then theres the problem of connecting flights.
Shame the DFDS ferry wasn't sailing from North Shields OK for southern Norway I suppose.
Nothing makes a fish bigger than almost being caught
Fair point there sid, 4 of us are travelling down in 1 car on the friday, (flight 09.40 sat) and staying in a hotel at gatwick, with secure parking for the week, £108 between 4 of us.
Surely no one aint daft enough to start booking trips to norway, without doing a bit of thinking, regarding transfers etc.
Funny! I Never Think Twice When It Comes To Booking A fortnights Holiday Abroad. But For Some Strange Reason Trying To Add Up The Pros And Cons On A Trip To No*way Just Makes The Decission For Myself That Much Harder To Make.
Wonder If Thomas Cook Has A Package Deal ?
