  • Royal Quays - angler unfreindly

Had a few chucks into Smiths dock tonight, parked in the Royal Quays bit (knew I shouldn\'t) there were only about 8 other cars in a car park designed to accommodate about 150. Kitted up, rods out strode off to tackle the lock walkway. Man hangs head out of mission control \"This is private property you can\'t park there if you\'re fishing\" I look up with blood already seeping out of the corner of my eyes but take deep breaths, move my car 200 yards to a proper spot and think \"If / When I need somewhere to berth my ship, you tossers will be the last on my list\"

I know what you mean Ell but in there defence some poeple just take the p**s..an example of this was when Dolly was trying to fuel up one morning but we could not as some fool was fishing right above the fuel station and his line right in the way...some might say warn him then drive over but as Dave pointed out \"who knows what damage the line might do under the boat\" after seeing Normans (i i) prop and the rope that was wrapped around it i understand why you keep clear.

The Royal.Q in my opinion would like all the fisherman out of the marina but they keep us there as we make them money and must take up at least 20 percent of the births.

Bri, as you head down the road you will come to the Zetland Pub (on your left)

On your right (the river side) is a large public carpark, the river itself is fenced off but there a numerous gates in it.

If there are ships berthed then xome of the gates are unlocked.

As Keith says this has nowt ot do with the marina
As my dad used to say....Man who go to bed with itchy bum......wake up with stinky finger!!!
