GPS JAMMING TRIAL OFF TYNEMOUTH

Date : On 30th November for a period of 5 days.
GPS jamming trials will be conducted utilising a jammer that will be onboard a vessel sailing within an area about 7 nautical miles east of Tynemouth with corners at the following positions:-
55º 09'.00N
001º 08'.52W
55º 00'.00N
001º 00'.48W
54º 58'.02N
001º 10'.02W
55º 01'.02N
001º 13'.02W
55º 07'.98N
001º 13'.02W
The trials will be carried out between 1000Z and 1600Z with up to two 1 hour jamming slots each day with at least 2 hours between slots.
GPS signals and consequently the DGPS service may be unreliable during this period, within and up to a range of 1 nautical mile from the area defined above.
No further notice will be given.
