wow, I've taken my tin hat off now . I thought we were heading for ww3. The main thing is that nobody was hurt(except egos) and hopefully lessons learned. After all we are all in the same boat (hopefully not fishermans blues ) only joking. Kartonkel , you do have an evil streak... you bounder. .. hows the boat?

You couldn't get on my boat mate, the deck is full of empty fish boxes ( unused) and an outboard that thinks its an inboard!

We have all had them days when EVERYTHING goes wrong and when you look back its a big learning curve and just put it down to "wont do that again"
I've had lots of them types of days and ive been at this boating malarkey for donkeys years !

Its a good job i never posted them on here with all the know it all supposed experts that im sure have had one of those days at some point in there nautical life

And i thought it was a bit harsh the way it got out of control !

Fisherman's blues i had a right chuckle about your day to remember and im sure you just posted to make people do the same and i am sure you have learned and moved on because that's what its all about
          Cheers Bert

Cheers tadpoleman, im happy knowing somebody laughed! I'm glad people can see what went on aswell! With a bit of clever editing the man has managed to take out most of his digs and add extras later so he can have his own laugh! Telling his mates they will have a new wreck soon haha with his track record I'm not surprised he's scared of going to sea

Kartonkel is a spot on bloke, just very passionate about his favourite hobby, boat fishing and addicted to banter!

Hope you get your woes sorted, sounded like a nightmare and I remember feeling like that not so long ago..

have to agree, kartonkel is ok. He is very methodical and can be critical but like he say's it's the German in him, but I get on with him fine after an early skirmish mutual respect prevailed. Germans aren't renowned for their sense of humour but he has one and I found his dissection of your report very amusing.

This forum!!!! Had him slate me and take the pish all day yesterday and as soon as I laugh at n point out his track record everybody starts going on like he's a saint. Need I go further than his dissection of my post... Most of his "facts" are about servicing, funny that he didn't mention the fact that I was actually down there doing a service! And editing his earlier post saying my boat is gonna be the new wreck topped it all off. The man is a biff n next time his boat is on fire he can count on me not pishing on it. You ain't seen nothing yet reg, work starts on it at the weekend, come along, it might be a laugh

FB, a lot of people have had worse happen.

look on a positive note what you have learned through your incident and that will make you more aware and i'd put money on it that other members reading your thread will check there motors and stuff.
plenty of space in the marina to go around in circles ! nowts hurt or damaged.

get your boat and gear ready, the season is almost upon us.............

I know they have Paul, the only problem is some people are to quick to criticise than remember their past mistakes/problems. I'm hoping to get her back in the water within the fortnight, as you say the season is upon us
