    Skjervoy

    Hi mate,
Went to Skjervoy in June 09 as one of a party of 5 we had both types of boat one Avor and one 18 foot fjordfangst (bath tub), we fished 3 in the Avor and 2 in the fjordfangst.
Avor are a nice modern boat which will ride any swells lovely, however the fjordfangst is just a bath tub with an engine on the back…quite stable but with wooden slated seats so if a bit rough it sends shockwaves up your spine. Bring a something soft to seat on this will help.
At the end of the day I enjoyed fishing 2 people fishing in the bath tub more than the Avor as you have more room and can fish both sides.
I am trying to go back for 2010 but due peoples finances I am unable to get enough interested so I may not be able to go back next year

You will have a great time at Skjervoy and will catch loads of big fish.(I caught 2 cod over 30lb & a lot over 20lb)

If you need any other advice let me know.
