Northumbria Police have completed their boat season for 2009,the competitions are held over the summer months,and started this year in June at Seahouses,taking in trips to other ports such as Whitby,Amble and Rhyl.All the comps ( 7) in total are fished on a catch measure and release system.
In total,if my maths are correct 937 fish were caught with the majority being released after being measured.NFSA size limits apply and bonus points are added for each cm over the size limit.In total there were approximately 17 different species caught.
Two leagues are held,the first for serving and retired police/support staff,and the second league for civilian members.16 points is allocated for the winner of each comp and 15 for 2nd etc
