Long forecast says Tue best day with Strong SE winds back on Wed, Thur not showing up yet but it changes by the 6hr update anyway.

My feelings looking at the weather map is wed and thur will be mod sea and best stay on lan, all depends what direction the wind goes Fri as to how quick the sea drops off.

The tides are so big next weekend that apart from an hour either side of slack water they are unfishable we think. I am not even taking bookings.

It would be interesting to know how many skippers would share this view. I am hoping to get out next Sunday. My last trip was cancelled a month ago due to high tides and strong wind and it looks like this may be my third cancellation in a row.

            Fingers crossed for calm seas.

Hi Jonny. Next Sunday you have 5.7m of tide difference over 6.5 hours. It dosen't get much worse than that.

The following weekends tides are perfect for fishing with only 1.6m between high and low on the Sunday. Thats the day you should be booked on

Cheers for the advice Alan. I did not book the boat but was kindly invited to join another party. If we do get out I will try and remain optomistic, you just never know

                thanks

Forecast is looking good for the weekend so far with light wsw winds, shame its big tides but i always find the wind pushes you more than the tides anyway, just have to hit some wrecks and hope its wind against tide.

If drift to fast its a day out over the rough ground at least in sunshine i hope, still cant beat it

Supposed to be going out on Flamer II this Sunday. It looks to be a windy day coupled with big tides mentioned.

Does anyone reckon its even worth buying any bait on Saturday ? I am praying this is not my third cancelled trip in a row.

                    thanks

Smooth or slight its saying now for the weekend, big tides or not i will be out and given it a bash...total change of plans so, going on a hunt for new marks..may fail but worth a try.

                      Good luck to everyone

Smooth or slight is the best sea conditons you can get off our coast.

I fish mod's but its not very nice and a mod can turn to a rough very quick and thats too much for my boat being low to the water.

Fingers crossed, going to hit both slack tides Sat so should bag a couple am sure.

Thinking of Trying the white stones as well, not tried it for about 6 years but used to hold loads of whiting and a few codling.
