The Beadnell Harbour Committee has released 10 Births for hire on Beadnell Harbour (see picture below) for 2015. Spaces are limited to vessels of 20ft or less and vessels must have valid insurance. This will cover a period from 1st April 2015 to 1st November 2015. Launching and recovery of vessels is the responsibility of the owner. There is a launch slip at Beadnell car park and current rates are £25 for launch and recovery. Storage of trailers and boats may be possible on adjoining land owned by the Harbour.
For moorings against the harbour walls no ropes or fenders are provided however if owners wish tyres, or similar, may be hung. For off wall moorings, an anchored mooring will be dug in for use based on the vessels size. Invoicing will be in March 2015 and payments must be made before a vessel is moored. Rules and Regulations of the Harbour will also be distributed at the same time and must be signed and submitted along with payment and proof of insurance. Prices are £400 per vessel for the period, bar births 5 and 10 which are £300. Fresh water is available in the harbour. Allocation of spaces is on a first come first served basis and is subject to a discussion with the Harbour Master.
A guest birth has now also been made available (See picture) to accommodate vessels up to 30ft. This will be charged at £25 per day. Weekly rates are available on this mooring. Users of the harbour may also sink permanent moorings in the bay as long as they are recoverable at the end of the Season and do not impede commercial activity from the Harbour.
