The Frasers Open Boat Competition takes place on Sunday 5th July.
This is a HSF Competition- one competitor, one prize. Entry is £8 and the event is open to all boats, both private and charter.
There are two categories-one for boats under 20ft (this includes Kayaks) and the other for boats over 20ft.
The first three HSF in each boat categories will receive a percentage of the entry monies.
There is also an exellent prize list. Tickets are on sale from Frasers Angling Gateshead, Rutherfords Sunderland, Amble Angling Centre, Lewis Tackle Supplies Whitley Bay and Billy's Tackle North Shields or from the Royal Quays Marina, North Shields from 7.30am on the day.
Fishing is from 9.0am to 4.0pm with weigh in 4.0pm to 6.0pm.
Boats may fish from any port, but must weigh in at the Royal Quays Marina.
