  • Looking for another boat.

Ive been pondering for the last year or so whether to get another boat. I want something small for when the weather is flat to have some enjoyable fishn within a mile of the shore.
I have been looking at those sniper dory boats around 8 foot long with a 4 foot beam, anyone think thats too small?
basically i want it small sop i can wheel it down to launch without the use of a car and those sniper dorys only weigh around 30-35kg.
Anyone else recommend something small light i could consider?

at that size only boat I'd want to be at sea in is an inflatable, much more stable that those wee dory's, especially if you go for the semi rib variety with a solid wooden floor

might know where there's a decent full rib, 3.2metres and 15hp motor going cheap. In liverpool though!

    Thought for the day:
Some people are like slinkies - not really good for anything but bring a smile to your face when thrown down the stairs

Converting an MFV Fifie trawler type thing.

im a bit dubious about ribs, im quite careless and would probably yank the jigger through the side and drown.

        buy a yak
give a man a fish and feed him for a day - teach the man to fish and feed him for life!!!!

My Kayak weighs more than a sniper Dory, no need for a trailer or launching fees.

you cant beat a tabur yak for stability in a solid dinghy anyway, i've got a 2 metre but the 3 metre version is even better and they are really light and double skinned!
