  • Antifoul paint

Seems to be some mark up on the paint, looking at about £110 for a pot of paint to cover my boat from the local shop.

Where do people get the paint from? Not even sure of the colour but its a light blue.

I mean everything costs a bomb for a boat but just seems crazy the price of the stuff at the local.

    paint

Boat paint is expensive as is everything to do with boats, mention boats and the price doubles, what type of paint were you looking to buy,and what make blakes and international seem to be the most common, i have been looking at various web sites and nothing seems to be as expensive as £120 you were quoted.

    Cheers
    Paul
The only thing i catch is rough ground and wrecks, at least the local angling shops like me!!!!:

The last tin for Shady was about £60 from Storrar.

Same here Keith 2 tins to cover the boat at £57 a tin from Storrer, just seems a lot for paint.

Getting anodes off the net, found them £10 cheapper than the local shop so thats a £30 saving on the 3 i have to change.

Surely under water primer & one tin will do your boat? you putting it on with a catapult?

3 litres is a lot of paint for a boat your size, last small boat I did, 17' and a 2.5 litre tin did it twice

lash out and get coppercoat, costs a lot more but lasts a good few years
