whats the ground like and what you baiting them with? they like a bit of rough ground
might also be worth devising a 'secret knot' on a bit of twine to hold the door shut. its not unknown for folks to lift and empty them for youʎɐqǝ uo pɹɐoqʎǝʞ ɐ ʎnq ı ǝɯıʇ ʇsɐן ǝɥʇ sı sıɥʇ.
Thought for the day:
Some people are like slinkies - not really good for anything but bring a smile to your face when thrown down the stairs

had the same problem myself in the past, the 'secret knot' was final clue.
best way is to drop em one day and get out a stupid oclock early in the morning the next to lift them, or move them a good way off where you've been dropping them, but eventually the buggers will stumble upon them and start lifting them againʎɐqǝ uo pɹɐoqʎǝʞ ɐ ʎnq ı ǝɯıʇ ʇsɐן ǝɥʇ sı sıɥʇ.
