Hi,can anyone recommend a good fillet knife as mine is s***e , been looking at the berkley tec but not sure if its worth the price,anyone got one? if so whats it like?? and which one should i be looking at, as they come in differant sizes and blades.

The only thing i catch is rough ground and wrecks, at least the local angling shops like me!!!!:
Thanks lads, was thinking of popping into the butchers, i know a fishmonger would be better ,but i know the butcher,just to see if he could advise, if his knifes can cut into lamb, beef etc, then sure it would cut into fish , just thought if anyone had bought something good would save me the trouble.

better off going for a propper fillet knife as blades are more flexable and because they are not as deep the flesh doesn`t stick to it as much
caleys on north shields fish quay ,,cost from £14 very sharp with wood handle. you.ll need to get sheath for it. had mine 4 years still perfect and if you can afford it treat yourself to a decent butchers steel .then ask one of the filleters on fish quay how to use it and you.ll wonder how you ever managed before. fillets fish bootiful
thanks for the advice, but found a knife on the net its a puma fillet knife, dont know what it is like yet, still waiting for it to arrive, then hopefully catch some big cod to use it
