  • new reel

    Looking to buy a new reel was thinking of a lever drag never had one before whats the feeeling on the forum about them.Any advice welcome.

          Will never give up on the Scabrough still loaded with black sylcast . Looked at the tld 15 review says it is only rated to take 30lb line max.How heavy do u lads fish with?

            55lb Dynon 3000 Braid is what quite a few lads on here fish with

              Thats the gear I just put on my mighty abu 7000, the white stuff.

              Think its the line capacity that only rates to 30lb but braid is loads thinner so you can fit plenty on even 50lb + stuff.

                  the best boat reel i have had is a diawa sealine 450h these reels are built to last and have a very powerfull retrive i have owned mine for over 4 years now and its still going as strong as the day i bought it

                        Hi there, i use a Shimano Charter Special TR2000LD loaded with 300yds 65ld Whiplash Pro, i think its slightly smaller than TLD15 but it has the advantage of level wind, which is great when your fishing with the shads. I bought it from Gerrys last year an cost about £80. Its had some stick and copes well.

                            i have 3 tld 20's and a couple of charter specials 2000ld's they are the dogs dooo dah.s
