  • Amble Harbour last night!

    Morning.

Was up checking on Growler last night and took a quick photo from the cliff house, from inside the car(what a wimp eh!). I think it is looking more like tuesday for the maiden trip at the earliest with this sea running! Not sure with the water being dirty if we'll get much anyway but here's hoping!

Water full of sand around Shields, south west winds Monday so next weekend unless it changes should be ok sea wise then its just fingers crossed the fish still feeding.

Gives me a chance to watch a the last Newcastle match (got a ticket Friday) and paint the garden fence as once the mackerel come in and the weaher settles...3 times a week every week i be out here.

All set for a quick run off tomorrow afternoon once mickey finishes work so here's hoping we catch! The forecast looks great for thursday so it will be a full day at sea then. The water should have cleared by then hopefully, I am just hoping the swell has gone by tomorrow or the harbour entrance will be interesting at low water when we go off! I think we will have a run down to the Northern hills and keep creswell for thursday.

Yer i am planning on thur and Friday out as small tides and unless the wind changes light west (8-12mph w) winds.

Going to try a catch or blank day i think and try so far off wrecks, may catch may not.
If all fails then Friday it will be back to the rough ground for the codling, hope you make it out Monday...be nice to know what the water colour and fishing is like after that 4 days of rough seas.

A few too many whte horses for tonight so it's postponed until tomorrow night now! At least it will give the water another day to clear up.
