evening all whats the best way to fish for whelks and muscles on a boat does any one fosh for them

  • #2
collect them on shore dependant on where you live its easier and will save your boats petrol. In the north east i dont know many if any spots. scotland hrmm dufries and galloway have a lot of muscles on there shores but finding them has its difficulties ask around and the locals will be more than happy to help you
keep kids off the streets, give them a rod.

mussels: black middens north shields on a good low tide, or underneath loads of the boats in the royal quays

Whelks: you'll be lucky! not many up here, a word with the commercial crabbers will be your best bet, ask them to keep some, they usually turn up in the potd but get hoyed back, same goes with big hermits

      Thought for the day:
Some people are like slinkies - not really good for anything but bring a smile to your face when thrown down the stairs

Converting an MFV Fifie trawler type thing.
