Have heard a rumour on the "vine" that the locks are being worked on this week all week...
...have also been told that a boat owner was advised to not make weekend plans until given the nod by RQ that the locks are going to be ready by the weekend

Yer i was down as well, defo finished work by Friday and the weather has fog banks forecast until weekend, past Friday night it is unclear still...rest of the weather looking good thou...later start means fog will have cleared...i hope anywya
Well i am heading down at 8am with a newbie fisherman onboard, going to try around the south pier then 2 wrecks 2.8 and 3 miles off the Tyne then its a decicion of North or south for rough ground work....will give you's a buzz about 9am and see how you lot doing.
Weather i have seen is 8-10mph west wind until 2-3pm then building to 18mph west swinging sw in late afternoon with odd shower.
Just be nice to wet aline and better if my mate catches a codling on his first trip out.
I will be down from 1.30pm until 6pm Friday as well Norman, doing the old sanding of the teak wood job after the winter frosts.
