  • whos ready for the yak season

    with the shore season just about over,,not that it really started,,i was wondering if anyone is getting ready for the yak season....as a newbie to yakking...i have a malibu 2xl for me and my lad....and we are just starting to rig it up for fishing....we had a couple of trips out last year ..really just to get used to it and we are looking forward to this season

      Yip! I'm ready and cant wait to get out. Got rid of my prowler big game and got a prowler 13
      so it's all rigged and hoping to get out in next few weeks. Had some good sessions off blyth for the plaice last season. Hope to see you out there

        might try up your neck of the woods, this year.... cos fished from teesbay down to scarboro last year and enjoyed every minute......cant wait for this season

            A question about these yaks is can you get back on them out at sea if you fall off??

              answer is yes i have been off the yak both on purpose and not.it is a matter of learning and practicing the techniques there is a vast amount of useful information available on the yak websites especialy on safety.dave t

                  dont take any notice of codseeker, Sean.I fish from the shore and boats and there are pros and cons for both. The yak adds another dimention and if an old fart like me can manage go for it. Dave t.

                      yakking is for any age.... we have a malibu 2xl ....it seats 2 adults and a small child........heres my son Lee age 11 last year on his first trip at sea......teesbay just behind the north gare.....nice and shallow

                        Been doing it for a season now and think it's the best thing since sliced bread, Great form of excercise and the freedom to launch wherever you can get your yak in.
                        Roll on the plaice and cod fishing off blyth.
                        Just add water!
