  • Cheeky Boat Names

Last time I was down at Royal Quays I got chatting to the fella moored next to Dave\'s boat. He had a single masted yacht, possibly wooden hull with all the clarty bits and fart around hanging off it. He was a nice bloke working hard sanding down a hardwood handrail. You know how you can often roughly sum a person up, well ... nice guy, pretty straight forward (No shades on) respects tradition etc. I wandered along the pontoon and looked down to see his boat\'s name. Thought, you cheeky devil, dark horse, wink wink. His boat was called My Stiffy. I thought ooh err, but then laughed a little inside, \"He\'s acknowledging the stereotype of boats and cars being penis extensions\" then I thought ..........don\'t judge, is it not bad luck to re-name a boat, maybe the poor lad bought it off some photocopier salesman and is lumbered, his respect for tradition demands it stays. This all took place in a matter of zilliseconds. I was a about to make comment on the boat\'s jaunty name when my eyes actually focussed properly on the thing. \"MYSTIFY\" aye \"MYSTIFY\" his boat was called Mystify. I kept quiet ..............told the lads obviously afterwards.

              Thought for the day:
Some people are like slinkies - not really good for anything but bring a smile to your face when thrown down the stairs

Converting an MFV Fifie trawler type thing.

when i got my boat a couple of years ago i had \"mary hinge\" suggested to me, considered it, but my wife hated it, although the boat does officially have a name there is nothing on its bows....at the minute, my son wanted \"beeracuda\"
