    Ken,

For Friday, the Met Office says.......

    Sunny, with showers
    Wind: N. 15mph

The inshore waters forecast only gives a guesstimate for the coming 24hrs...........check here on Thursday............

I walked the dogs along past the Priory tonight and the sea was pretty much calm and smooth.

I took a couple of photos but as I\'m no Alan Charlton , Don\'t have a go at me if they arn\'t ower hot.

Marc, on most (possibly all) digital cameras you can set the resolution. Even if the camera has 5 million pixels it doesn\'t mean that it is using them all. Go through the menu system on the camera and check the resolution you\'re using.

Another reason could be the zoom. A zoom on a digital camera can be broken into 2 areas - digital and optical. The perfect camera would have a large optical zoom and NO digital zoom. All digital zoom does is enlarge the pixels that it has already recorded (giving you a slightly pixelated image).

Here\'s a tip as well. if your reducing the size of an image from a digital camera do it in either Photoshop or Fireworks (my preference). Once reduced use the sharpen filter ONCE. It may look slightly over sharp, but once you have saved it as a JPEG it will look fine.

Aye definetley summat up with your camera marc. I\'ll put my money on the digital zoom. You must have been in Alston or somewhere when you pressed the button.
