  • Okuma classic xt 302

    Hello lads.

I've had me first charter trip and I want to do some more so I'm going to buy my own gear. What is the okuma classic xt 302 like? They seem a reasonable price and I'm looking at these cos I need a lefty.

Also any rods I could look at for around £40?

    Thanks a lot.
    All the gear, no idea.

Dont know much about the reel, but rather than buy a cheap rod brand new for £40, i would buy a good second hand one for the same money, Uglystik's are great rods, and a few about for sale...

Cheers mate. I dont mind buying a second hand rod. The reel will have to be new cos I'll not find a used left hand one.

Very nice reel for the cash, and Okuma are good quality. I've got a couple and they are a few years old and still like the day I bought them.

Would be nice on a UglyStick GX12

Ive got the right handed version mate, its alright for low price, drag is a bit flimsy but does the job on a budget
