Quick reply needed plz- anti foul question.

We finaly found time to get the boat out and on the trailer today fro a clean up.
I've been scrubbing the underneath all day ready for an antifouling.
Just been reading the tin and it says; surface dry 3 hrs, thouroughly dry 18 hrs, relaunch time up to 2 weeks.

We were hopeing to put the boat back in tonight and thought it should be dry in a few hours and could go back in the water.

What do you's recon, can it go back in tonight or do I have to wait up to 2 weeks.

I always though antifoul dried realy quickly lol

Its Teamac D antifoul.

Any advice greatly appretiated.

Duuno about Teamac but you can normally put the boat back in the water when the antifoul is still wet.

Thats what we though Keith, wish I never read the tin now.

Might keep it out over night to be sure.

Yeah same here, always put it back in straight away even very wet on the odd areas I`d missed and seen when lifted so had to paint just seconds before launch.

2 weeks ??? very odd

I think the relaunch times are generally the maximum length of time you can leave it out of thw ater before relaunch rather than minimums, antifould starts to break down in air quickly, so quicker its back in the water the better IMHO

yes mark, that rings a bell ..... once a boat is kept OUT of the water for a length of time it MUST be re antifould , as you say because the antifoul breaks down if not submerged .

Would be a pain in the arse if I had to keep it out tonight, as it does'nt fit in the garage and the marina boat yard is closed now.

Think I'll take it down after me tea and put it back on the mooring.
After a quick photy of the shiney new paint work that is.

Well its back on the mooring now, so hope it'll be alright.

Just took the trailer in half so it fits in me dads garage, 40 min drive home now and bed for me.

Am knackered, been a long day, up since 5 am.

All set for our first trip out of the season tho, can't wait.
