  • NESA MIDWEEK BOAT TRIP: LAST CHANCE

Following on from Jasons \"Midweek Boat Trip\" thread........

I\'ve provisionally got Mistress booked for a NESA midweek trip out on 21st of this month.

    Anybody wanting a place ?????

If so, post on this thread.

If I don\'t have enough names by next Monday (12th), I\'ll just cancell the outing.

I heard about this the other day Tony but haven\'t been able to get here to post You know I\'d jump at ANY chance of a trip oot but daytimes no good for me cos I\'ve got the bairns most of the time. (School runs)
Can I propose an evening trip out by any chance
I know it\'s a spanner in the works but high tide on the 21st is at 7pm & weather pending the drifts would be canny on a 4.56m tide (droppin off) It could make it easier for those at graft all day too but Tony (?) might not go for it.
Just a thought to chew on
I treat others as I expect to be treated myself and expect to be treated the same way!

I\'ve been out on many evening trips with Tony, so I don\'t think there\'d be any problem as far as he\'s concerned.; other than, if it would mean him turning down an all day booking to accommodate us for a few hours.

I did ask (on Jasons thread) if an all day or evening trip would be preferred......I assumed it was the intention to have an all day outing.

I\'d love to have you come along to take part, Andy....but I guess it\'s up to those wanting to take part........all day OR evening ??

Thats wot a meant by \"spanner in the works\" Tony. I\'d hate to rock the proverbial boat, LOL so if it\'s an evening I\'ll go but if it\'s not I won\'t. There u go m8, no bull just a simple answer from a simple lad :P
Good luck & I hope it gans well

OK m8.....we\'ll just have to see what peeps prefer.

Must admit....an evening trip (usually start around 4:00pm), would mean I didn\'t have to take a day off work......lol

NESA\'s the reason I\'ve thought about ditchin\' mine, over the years........lol

Tony, got 4 possibly 5 lads from work interested if it\'s an evening trip, but I think we\'d have to make it a 5.0pm kick off.

                    Cheers, Keith.

Tony if your struggling for names then stick me and Dale down for it. It will make a nice change .

This is the way things look at the minute………

                        Daytime:
                        Me
                        Ian
                        KeithB
                        Codhead
                        Ell
                        John
                        Dale

                        Evening (5:00pm kick-off):
                        Me
                        Ian
                        Andy
                        KeithB + 4 others

To be honest (and no disrespect meant to Keiths’ workmates), I ‘d like it to be a NESA thing, really.
So far we’ve got 7 for a day-time trip (leaving 5 places to fill). If those 5 places aren’t taken by the end of this week, then it’ll be opened up to non-NESA members and possibly become an evening trip out.

As you can see from the above lists, I’m not bothered if it’s day or evening (only concern I have is the 5:00 kick-off - get a max of only 4 hours out).

Is there anybody I’ve got on the “daytime” list who would definitely NOT be interested in the “evening” option ?

Sorry Tony put me down for the 5:00pm thing, I didn\'t make myself clear (theres a first) I was referring to one of last years evening trips when I was delayed by non-anglers tooling their way home from work. Dashed into the Marina, NO BOAT, legged it up to Jodrel Bank and screamed ...
\"Has The Chieftan left yet?\" answer from the Royal Quays Waller
\"Possibly but I wouldn\'t know as it goes from Whitby\"
\"I mean the Mistress (orTalisman )\"
\"I\'ll get him on the old transponder\"
Contact was made, charter turned back and picked me up, you know you couldn\'t have left me guys. Once I\'d been gaffed and hauled aboard Ian W announced ..\"You\'re very lucky, we took a vote as to wether to come back for you\" I thanked Ian and the lads, to which they answered..The result of the vote was a unanimous \"Leave the Get\" Luckily the Skipper intervened and I was allowed to board, I\'m sure he could have got the vessel close than 10ft from the jetty but never mind, lept like a salmon, end of story.

Err I think we caught Nowt at all. all of us!
