ps mark are you going to market the steering system, sounds a lot better (and cheaper) than hydraulics...........
saying nowt about that ... yet, I'll let marc's photy's do the talking. As a test of ingenuity in a needs must situation a Big Up to all the crew, 20 mins from no steering to a jury rig using a few odds and sods that navigated us for 26 hours, using only the charts and a compass, at night and we were within half a mile of the intended target
we did have to scarifice the en suite to make it work though

Thought for the day:
Some people are like slinkies - not really good for anything but bring a smile to your face when thrown down the stairs
Ell's version of the deadliest catch.....................
We didn't have lobster cages but did have the next best thing..... a fire guard
Don't ask why we had a fire guard on board.
Suppose it was to stop embers from hitting you while you were in the bath.
Great few days with a great couple of lads. Can say that now my life is safe after Rattyhead.
The fireguard was probably there to stop people leaning expensive white vinyl yacht seats against the exhaust and setting fire to them just as you are entering the first of 7 lochs on the Caledonian Canal which would never happen in real life like! Marc I need to see the burning children - please

Great news ,I was down at St.Peters today between 12 and 2.30 waiting for sight of Pansy and her crew ,shame you didn't get there for early afternoon but bloody great to hear you all got back safely.
Just missed us Steve! We had a couple of drops as well on the way in which delayed us a bit. Saw a load of Gannets off Amble I think, hammering baitfish and managed to get right over the Baitball, saw it about a couple of foot down - 20 feet across mad ball of herring we reckoned. I 've never seen one before. Wondered what was chasing them. Stuck a string of lures straight through it but no fish
