A bit of a long shot but here goes, one of our members (South Shields Volunteer Life Brigade) is attempting to raise funds to go towards our watch house restoration, he is doing a swim from Shields pier to Roker pier - cycle back - Kayak back to Roker and run back to Shields, this is to take place on the Friday the 18th of July starting at 5.00am, if anyone with a boat who would be willing to provide safety cover for the swim and kayak legs could email geordiedivers1@me.com. Or call into the watch house any Monday from 19.00-22.00. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
