  • First time kayak fishing

Today I decided to enjoy the lovely weather forcast and try a spot of fishing from my kayak. I bought it late last year and have only been out a couple of times just to remind myself of how to paddle because it's been about 25 years. Anyway, using some twin tail lures for bait I positioned myself about quater of a mile of marsden cliffs. Within about 15 minutes small fish were biting, then I got one about 1 1/2lb. Good enough for tea I thought, not knowing that the next one would have my thin rod bent double. It weighed in at just under 6 lb. Fab day all round. I think I might do it again!
