I've heard that chunks of Eel are a good bait for Ling...is this true?

Think I saw eel sections being used for bait on one of the fishing progs on sky, can't remember if it was for conger or ling.Cheers, Keith. -

Mackerel, Mackerel ,Mackerel.
Tried lots of baits and lures but Mackerel beats them all.
Launce was 2nd and Herring 3rd with twintails unbaited 4th and whiting 5th. lol
p.s never caught a ling on squid before??? Strange................__................................ .............................

The Ling i have seen caught have been on jiggers with mackeral attached.Personal best, 12.5lb Tope Scotland. 22/05/2012.Comment

had plenty ling on squid rich, looking for cod but still got ling .. not monsters mind but to 7 or 8 lbs .......... usually with a muppet or pirk]` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` )

7-8lbers my fav stamp of ling Norman, good all way up fighters, thats why i said strange, used it laod sbut never caught a ling on it, always cod or nothing lol................__................................ .............................
