  • new toys??

    so with all the eager anticipation for the forthcoming boaty doing's...


    the Purser has suggested and ice maker, which I think is essential to keep the ginger beer and cucumber sandwiches in optimum condition

    I want a rail mounted barbecue (might set up shop selling burgers at the yellow can)

    got a pc based chart plotter to play with


    whats on anyones new toy list this year??

    We've got some cups of bovril from the pound shop (yes jim they cost a pound), just saving up for an inverter or a 12V kettle now.

        already blew a big hole in 3 grand for my toys this year . i.e. kayak & bits
        great fun!
        flexi solar panel next on list , or something to keep a couple of 12v 12ah batterys charged for a couple of expeditions planned for when the sun comes out.

            got maxsea 12 installed with c-map, but also go maptech charts as well

              Aldi had some power convertors amongst their car stuff the other month, might still have some because they didn't look to be selling at all..

                If your after an inverter get a large wattage one...the ones from aldi would probably act as a george foreman grill if you plugged a kettle in...and only the once at that. The 12v kettle I bought, when plugged in at Newcastle just about has the water to the boil by Peterborough, and thats always assuming it hasn't fallen over.

                I have a 24v to 12v cig lighter converter if anyone needs one. Lord knows why I bought it but will never use it. Also I have a lot of 12v bulkhead lights and some 6 way prewired fuse boxes for anyone who wants to wire their new toys in. All free to a good home.
