Just been chatting to keith about getting out recently and he tells me bert and the lads had a look out this morning but nothing much doing yet (as well as a crap sea and forcast to suit .......... well done lads on the attempt)

    Whats your views?
Usually looking to 2nd week of april I`ve been out over inshore rough ground pulling in loads, It`s usually easter about this time (too early this year) and this signals the beginning of the season.
but this year I`ve not been able to get out yet (ok ok wimp I know LOL )
but has the colder weather (it`s snowing blizzards outside as I type) knocked the season back a little. I know bert and co relish the coming of crab but I usually find royd`s best at this time of year but a) theres no crab yet and b) the seas too lumpy for royd`s.

    whaddya think .................

        Cheers, Keith.

Avoiding the play on words around flatfish, when I've come up to help with the organisation of the NESA boat comp - May, end of usually, I've then gone up to Eyemouth for a play with the big rod. Although I've caught fish it's very hitty missy, the weather's been variable and I think the same applies to you boaters....it's too soon to be certain. We need to be patient and sit with our hands securely clasped together between our thighs............................................ ......................and wait.

                    It's a bu***r though lol
