  • Weekend weather (again)

Just looked at the met offfice site, looks like it\'s a bit blowy Friday, then easing off on Saturday. Wind looks to be mostly in the West.

I\'d be intersted in the views of those with more local knowledge and experience as to what the sea state is likely to be with these offshore winds. I\'d be particularly interested if anyone could post some direct observations tomorrow (Friday).

I fish out of Hartlepool, but Newcastle/Sunderland conditions usually seem very similar.

    Many thanks.

Perhaps we should have this thread as a routine every week during the boat fishing season. I particularly value the input of other NESA members as I don\'t live near the coast, and you may save me a fruitless 3-hour round trip.

I have just got back from sunderland and the sea was as flat as your going to get it.A 20mph SW wind was blowing its going NW later tonight then back to the west..well so they say but i cant see it being a problem for the boat fisherman.small tides and west winds spell fish

I see now Northerlies predicted for tomorrow. Possibly Sunday a better bet than Saturday for a small boat?

Anyone have any inforamtion on the sea state as it stands tonight?

I decided not to try today because of the forecast northerlies. Hoping to get out tomorrow as westerlies seem to be forecast with some consistency. Hoping it\'s not a wasted trip.
