Hi All
Just thought i would share this one with you lot
i purchased a lowrance 3500c plotter and varios other things from redcar fish just over two years ago (£1200)
well last year i went to go fishing on the boat and the gps plotter started playing up but after a horrific boat/marine dealer i thought it was his bad wiring any way i decided to get it all checked out
trying to get my boat booked in to get it all checked out was a bit difficult as i was working overseas anyway i got a boat/marine dealer to take the boat to his place and check things out
well the guy seemed to put things right and i was pleased with the work but the gps was still playing up
then i contacted redcar fish and he asked when i bought the unit which i hadnt realized was 2years and 2 months previous he told me to throw it in the bin and start again (i was horrified at his comment even when i explained that it had happened in the two years of waranty)
well not to be beaten i contacted Navico uk ltd the service people for lowrance they said they would look at it for me then proceed from there
well i have just found out that all is wrong with it was a cable has been trapped/crushed and caused a short circuit (first bad marine/boat dealer)any way it has cost me £58 and all problems now sorted
I WILL NEVER USE REDCAR FISH AGAIN AND ALWAYS RECOMEND PEOPLE USE OTHER DEALERS THAN THEM
