  • New Boat..

I headed off to Wales today to view a 2005 Beneteau 620IB, set off at 4.00 as i was too excited to sleep arrived at Conwy Marina at 7.45, really nice marina in among some stunning scenery...
Anyway to cut a long story short, i viewed the boat and it is the cleanest, i've ever viewed, with a history second to none, the owner was an old gent who spared nothing on it, you could eat your dinner off the engine and the bilge is spotless.....twin axle trailer included, life raft, windlass, 2009 Honda 4stroke aux, 4 auto life jackets, epirb, 2 boat covers ( summer and winter ) 2x gps, fishfinder, vhf radio..etc...etc...

Well....in a conversation with the missus, i said i didnt think the owner would move from the asking price, with what i'd seen i wouldnt have.. so making an offer might be a waste of time but as you do, you chance your arm with a daft first offer.......and he accepted it.... to say i was gobsmacked is an understatement......but he has already bought another boat in the same marina and from the look of it, money isnt an issue...

Well i've left a deposit and hopefully i might get it back to Seaham for next weekend or mid week....

    Some pics to look at

Oh and just to cap off a good day....

Aye, it was well worth the travel, i had 2 others as backups to view just in case, but for once it was first time lucky....That 645 will sell eventually, but i dont think it will be to someone who is clued up on engines and boat prices...
