  • 1st time on a boat... Advice

Going out st the weekend all going to plan. Probably from Craster. Any advice on kit to take for a day out. Got a boat rod n reel sorted. Suggested bait, rigs, weights?

Should I take a flotation top?.... Don't want to drag along loads of stuff I don't need but also don't want to overlook anything vital due to lack of experience.

    Any advice welcome.

This time of year I would wager you'll be fishing rough ground in the main.

    15 or so leads (12oz)

Same number of multi hook rigs...whatever takes your fancy as you'll be tipping them with bait

    Ragworm
    Squid
    Bluey
    Mussel

    Food and drink for yourself
Waterproofs and something to keep your head warm

Dunno about full on floaty suit...up to you on that one

    That should do you
    Ooh a new vid!

I always say have a good dump pre-trip as well

(Long time at a sea with no amenities!)

"Plain food" the night before as well helps in that order too...

                    Cheers fellas.
Dont know the boat details as someone else is organising it.
Rest if the advice is great.
Plenty vindaloo and a colostomy bag.
Was only thinking floaty smock and good waterproof troozers.
