well the weather is starting to look good for the weekend. Westerly or NWesterly 5-10kts should be slight sea state with sunny days both saturday and sunday. (thats my forcast from the synoptic charts - but please check official ones and dont take my word for it).

lookin at the charts the high preasure system is coming slower than i expected that is why we are having wind from the north north east as the high is sat just off Northern Island in the atlantic (wind goes clockwise around this there for is coming back in on itself up here). Wind will hope fully be light so sea will be slight. Should still get out tomorrow.

Hoping to get out from Hartlepool either tomorrow or Sunday. Latest inshore waters forecast isn\'t too helpful in decidng which is going to be the better day. As I live well inland in W. Yorks, can any of you coast-dwellers give me an update on the sea state today, and what you expect tomorrow, with the benefit of local knowledge?

Rippled today but with no swell the only way it would get up is if the wind increases but i dont think it will tonight and it is forcast to back to the northwest over night. You should be ok both days.

Had a look along the coast today (yesterday) looked ok - there were a few small boats out.

All seems set for another good weekend - fingers crossed

Well TC hope the sea drops for you tomorrow as we came in early today as it got right up (10ft swell) with the wind easterly about force 5 (so much for all the forcasts.)

                        Hope you get out mate.

Went out from Hartlepool today - pretty good inshore waters foorecast this am. Unfortunately reality got it wrong. A fairly big swell of the headland going out (9am) flattened off by midmorning, but around lunchtime the wind started blowing again, from the East, at least a force 4, and building the swell again. Discretion got the better part of valour and we came in, but had quite an uncomfortable ride around the headland to the marina.

Fish weren\'t biting either - just a couple of tiddlers. Judging by the way everyone else was moving around, I don\'t think anyone will have had a vintage catch.
