Goog God, Dave that did not take you long to spot. Yeh, I do contribute to BFM on a regular basis. I have been writing for magazines (verious) for over ten years now. As I say, I dont let the dyslexia worry me, infact, the writing has been a very positive help. It was that first artical back in 1991 that was hard, thank God for computers and a very suportive family. CJS

                      Cliff,

For your information after your excellent article in BFM , I now wear a safety strop on my lifejacket (When out alone ) and have a boarding ladder on the stern . Had a narrow escape there mate , easy done .

Good looking boat as well mate , what engine has she got and what performance do you get (speed / fuel consumption etc )

Oh , and sorry about the joke I thought you were kidding ooopps.

Norman? Another skeliton been unearthed. Yes I did dable a bit in the rush around the poles!!! Now you know exactly who I am? Do you remember \'Throttle Benders\' in RM? If you do, it makes some of my coments make sense for you. Gave all that up in 95, lost the misses in 94, last plane I ever designed and built was \'Kathys Clown\' free Q500 plan in RM. Sorry Norman your name does not ring any bells. Fishings a bit different to poll polishing at 120mph ! ! ! CJS

Yes Cliff I left about the same time .......... it was beginning to get a bit too dangerous from my point of view, All those carbon fibre flying surfaces etc. etc etc........ too many (young dare I say it) but certainly ubexperienced lads with too much disposable income who were not building but \"Buying\" from the Levers of the world and coming straight in with machines they couldn`t handle. I almost bought it one day at york when standing behind 2 & 3 and a stray \"bullet\" came past at 4 foot.
I had a couple of seasons in group 3 ... excellent lots of trophies etc. but then in group 2 just the odd good day.
I used to travel with Dick Wilson, and John Beany, ring any bells?

Anyway, old times sake and all that, let me know if ever your up this way, come and have a trip out and test the north east fishing.

LOL you`d have to wear a safety hat for me to recognise you ........................
strange weren`t it that when prize giving came and we all took our hard hats off no one looked the same , we were all strangers LOL

To everyone else ......... LOL sorry , i`ll explain later.

Sorry Marc mate, yes your right, Cliff and I used to race radio controlled model aircraft , pylon racing , the club 20 was the most competitive class (0.2 Cu Inch engine caopacity) doing 20,000 rpm and flying a triangular course at speeds of about 120-130mph. average race (4 aircraft together) was ten laps in 68 secs.
adrenalin .................... wow I got none left LOL
to be successful you had to span the 70or so secs without blinking , if you did blink you stood a good chance of loosing your plane hahaha and that happened often ....... I`ll stick a model in the car next time I know your down marina.
