  • Recommendations for our weekend away at Burnmouth?

Me and the wife have booked a holiday cottage up at Burnmouth this coming weekend.
It's my birthday on the Sunday so she has said we can have the day fishing. The harbor at Burnmouth looks like a canny shot from the Pier but with the time of year and conditions think it will be better finding a boat.
Can anyone recommend a charter boat going out of either Eyemouth or Berwick?

    Thanks in advance, James

I have had 2 holidays down there but always in the summer. From the pier i have seen flatfish, garfish, mackerel, mullet and bass caught on bait as well as alot of bass on bait and lures. Waymouth just a few miles away had shoals and i mean shoals of big mullet around the pier and next to that waymouth tower jetty.

Boats wise i cant say i seen any adverts but Waymouth and Poole have a large fleet that targets sandbank fishing for flatfish, bass etc and some wrecks for the normal. If you do go to Waymouth it has 2 tackle shops worth a visit thou not that cheap.

He's asking about Burnmouth near Berwick......Bournemouth, Poole and Weymouth are no where near!
