I'm posting this on behalf of Allan ( Endeavour16 )....this wooden plasticy thingy is on the Hardy 20 that Allan is refurbing, it has a wooden base with a plastic cone shape bolted through it, there's nothing on the outside of the boat....Has anyone seen anything like it ....is it part of something .....

2 screws and a bolt, must have been something with a bit weight to it, i was thinking on the lines of a compass but looks to high up to be seen properly, had boats for 30 yrs but got me with that one?
