Still fishing well mate the lads had another nice day yesterday the best cod which took the sweep was over 9lb on the scales its being a cracking uptide season this winter lets all hope the shad fishing this summer is just as good.Originally posted by big ling View Post

90 percent westerlys ? Hows that ? If anything last months been taken over by southern gales or s,w, in and around whitby. I agree with paul on this one had some cracking fish uptiding myself this year and hopefully will lead us into spring full of fish. Fingers crossedComment

Its being one of the best uptiding winters for a few years with many days between 50 -100 cod per day as i say again open your eyes wide and take a very good look the delusion in your head will drift away very fast i guess.

And another good day today uptiding around 50 cod on the boat a lot of the winter uptiding days this winter were a lot better than good a lot of cod days last summer due to the very heavy algie bloom i said its been a belter of an uptiding season from the start and still is upto press.
This lad never been boat fishing before he got amoung the cod loved it a nice day at sea very little wind a weather window which you have to grab ,
And he raked a few more up so not so bad and one or two more in the yellow bucket behind for one of the other lads .
