Aye - I've heard the Slinky is a classy lady...

I don't want to jinx anything so I'm trying not to think about buckets of fish all in the double poundage range...

PS - same as Steve, not really that fussed ( )
        Ooh a new vid!

double figure scotchie - now that would be worth seeing

just got back in, went out with Ell about 12, flattest I've seen the sea all year

Some people are like slinkies - not really good for anything but bring a smile to your face when thrown down the stairs

Converting an MFV Fifie trawler type thing.

Can we expect an Ellevision catch report?
                    Cheers, Keith.

I'll let Ell tell (geddit) about the squeaky fish and the rare species that he unhooked and hoyed back without realising

Mark refuses to believe that a squeak or two came from a wee gurnard I brought in, he insists it was the sound of my buttocks rubbing together.

Do Gurnards squeak - I believe they do similar to some Trevally, Catfish and other species - get him telt.

I also apparently shook a "Spanish" mackerel off my hook and back into the water (We'd filled our boots) Unfortunately I did not spot the Sombrero and black tash.

Mark's daughter Holly (What a little belter) also caught a mackerel's eyeball which was very funny.

Left me bag of fish outside for a bit before bagging some and marinading the rest, said to our Kyle if you hear any cats partying outside give me a shout, he has just come upstairs to tell me a hedgehog has dragged a fish out and is munching on it. How I laughed at his attempt to get me to walk somewhere for no reason.

A hedgehog had pulled a mackky out and munched half of it- it is currently in the garden thinking "Right I've rolled myself into a ball and covered my eyes with my paws therefore no-one can see me, I'm cool" (covered in lovely beautiful ticks as well)

Just realised the mackerel eyeball story might seem a bit grim but killing fish or any other animal for food involves the odd body part fleeing off, death and a bit of unpleasantness. It was just an eyeball on hook.

I also lost a big head nodder after about five pumps, so did the Mark - he also managed a couple of canny ones which judging by the charter reports of slow fishing was not a bad show really. Great day as ever.
One really touching thing happened on the way back in, we were round about Smith's Dock I think and a few lads had lines out, we had to come quite close in as this maffis ferry was steaming past. A young lad on the dock stood up and kind of opened his arms and shook his head as if to say why are you coming soo close you boated nazis. I made an apologetic shrug and pointed at the ferry, this young lad clocked the big boat and just put his thumb up with a smile. That is definetly the way to do it, he was only 13 - 14 or so.
